Why Consider Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy draws on current neuroscience and psychotherapy to help clients create meaningful, lasting change in a relatively short period of time. Sessions combine goal focused ‘talking therapy’ with guided hypnosis to calm the nervous system, build resilience, and support clearer thinking.

Key neuroscience points:

  • Generating Hope – Working with what is going well activates reward centres in the brain, reinforcing hope, motivation, and goal‑orientated behaviour.
  • Adpative Neuroplasticity – Hypnosis supports the brain’s ability to reorganise and form new neural connections after injury, which is crucial for recovery following acquired brain injury (ABI).
  • Stress Regulation – Relaxation techniques calm and sooth the nervous system and enhance prefrontal regulation, promoting emotional stability and a greater sense of control.
  • Pain Management – By altering how the brain processes pain, hypnotherapy can help reduce perceived intensity and distress, improving overall quality of life.

How I Work With Case Managers?

1

Clear SMART goals

We agree therapy goals that align with your rehabilitation plan and the client’s own priorities.

2

Collaborative Working

With consent, I can liaise with you and other professionals to ensure hypnotherapy complements existing input rather than duplicating it.

3

Brief & Time Aware

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy gets results in a relatively short time so reduces the risk of clients getting ‘stuck’. Effective results in 5 – 8 sessions.

4

Trauma‑Sensitive Approach

Sessions avoid unnecessary detail around traumatic events, focusing instead on safety, regulation, and rebuilding a sense of agency.
